Brighton Dome Comedy Festival 16 to 25 October, the Veteran Car Run finish on 1 November, and Albion at home to Palace, plus 35 dated listings to 8 November.

The biggest ten days coming up in Brighton are the Brighton Dome Comedy Festival, from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 October, which this year runs across both the Dome and Komedia. The city’s other big date is a free one: the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run finishes on Madeira Drive on Sunday 1 November. In between come the last two days of racing at the racecourse, the Speakers Festival in Hove, and Albion at home to Crystal Palace.

  • Photoworks Festival 2026, Friday 2 October to Sunday 1 November, venues across Brighton & Hove. Thirteen photography exhibitions on the theme Un/Stable, from Brighton Museum to Jubilee Library. Each venue sets its own hours (Photoworks). Our Photoworks guide has the full exhibition list.
  • Mini Photographers: A Day for Families, Saturday 3 October, sessions at 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm, Hove Museum of Creativity. Free, all ages, booked in advance (Brighton & Hove Museums).
  • Kian Soltani plays Dvořák, Saturday 3 October, 7.30pm (doors 6.45pm), Brighton Dome Concert Hall. The London Philharmonic Orchestra under Marie Jacquot plays Dvořák’s Cello Concerto and Franck’s Symphony in D minor, with a free foyer performance at 6.45pm. £18.50 to £44, under 18s £10 (Brighton Dome).

  • The Stravinsky Connection, Sunday 11 October, 2.45pm (doors 2pm), Brighton Dome Concert Hall. The Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra plays Stravinsky and Mozart’s Gran Partita under Joanna MacGregor. £15 to £41 (Brighton Dome).

  • London to Brighton Veteran Car Run finish, Sunday 1 November, 10am to 4.30pm, Madeira Drive. Cars built before 1905 arrive from 10am, the slowest as late as 4.30pm (Veteran Car Run). Only vehicles on the run get onto Madeira Drive, so come on foot; our Veteran Car Run page has where to stand.
  • Jim Al-Khalili: How Physics Makes the Universe Tick, Sunday 1 November, 1pm (doors 12.15pm), Brighton Dome Corn Exchange. £34.50 and £39.50, concessions £24.50 (Brighton Dome).
