Embers won Brighton's public vote for best roast again in 2026. Twelve Brighton and Hove roasts with prices, serving times and booking, checked October 2026.
The Sunday roasts with the strongest public record in Brighton are at Embers in The Lanes, the city’s public-vote winner for 2025 and 2026; the Bell Tower in Kemp Town, voted third; plant-based Earth and Stars in North Laine; and the Cleveland Arms, a national roast winner in 2019. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own website on 25 October 2026.
We have not eaten these roasts for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the venue publishes: the roasts on its Sunday menu and what they cost, when they are served, and its booking, children and dog rules. Where a venue’s site did not show something, we have said so. Hygiene ratings come from the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Menus change week to week, so treat prices as a guide.

How we chose
This is a list of the Sunday roasts people search for, chosen on records anyone can check rather than on taste. We started with the Best Sunday Roast category of the 2026 Brighton Restaurant Awards, a public vote with 71,285 votes cast across the awards, and kept the venues inside Brighton and Hove. Three of its top ten are not here: the Thatched Inn in Hassocks and the Hurstwood near Uckfield are outside the city, and we could not check the Grand Hotel’s or Kindling’s Sunday menus on their own sites. We added the Roundhill for its 2024 roast award and the Plough in Rottingdean as the long-standing village pub. Nothing rated below 3 by the Food Standards Agency was considered.
We checked every venue’s own website on 25 October 2026 for its Sunday menu, serving times, booking rules and any closure notice. Hygiene ratings come from the FSA register on the same day. Winter hours change, so check with the venue before you go.
