Saint Etienne at the Dome tonight, Marina Hyde and free Slow Fashion Week on Saturday, the Brighton Phil on Sunday, and Coastway West buses all weekend.

Saint Etienne play the Brighton Dome Concert Hall on Friday night, and the last three performances of Stand or Fall, the play about the Albion’s near-death and revival, are at the Theatre Royal on Friday and Saturday. Saturday brings Marina Hyde to the Corn Exchange, a free Slow Fashion Week in the Dome foyer and an after-hours night at Brighton Museum. The Brighton Philharmonic opens its season on Sunday afternoon.

One thing to plan around: engineering work west of Angmering means buses replace Southern trains between Barnham and Arundel, and between Barnham and Angmering, on both Saturday and Sunday. Trains from Brighton run as far as Angmering. Details at the end.

Trains this weekend

Engineering work closes all lines between Barnham and Arundel and between Barnham and Angmering on Saturday and Sunday. Southern trains from Brighton on the Coastway West run as far as Angmering, with buses onward towards Littlehampton, Barnham, Bognor Regis and Chichester. No Southern trains serve Southampton Central over the weekend; South Western Railway tickets are accepted instead. On Saturday night the 23.16 Victoria to Chichester terminates at Angmering with a bus on to Chichester. (National Rail, Barnham and Arundel / Angmering engineering work, 26 to 27 September)
