We checked 7 Christmas tree sellers near Brighton, from a farm at Devil's Dyke to free city delivery, for prices and opening dates. Updated November 2026.

Brighton has seven places selling real Christmas trees in 2026, within a short drive or delivered to the door, and this guide puts them in one place with prices, opening dates and what each one sells. Most people land on Devil’s Dyke Christmas Trees, on a farm just outside the city; Brighton and Hove Christmas Trees, which delivers free across BN1, BN2 and BN3; Fox Hill near Haywards Heath, with the cheapest published farm prices; and Sussex Trees at Lindfield, where you cut your own. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website on 5 November 2026.

We have not bought a tree from any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the seller says it does, with its own prices where it publishes them. Farms change their dates and stock as the season goes on, so ring or check the website before a long drive.

Prices for a 6ft tree

Six sellers publish a price for the size most homes buy. The figures are for a cut tree unless the seller only sells by “up to” height.

In Brighton and Hove

1. Devil’s Dyke Christmas Trees, Devil’s Dyke Farm

A Christmas tree shop on Devil’s Dyke Farm, on the downs above the city, and the nearest place to Brighton where you can walk among the trees and pick one. It sells Nordmann firs only, from 3ft to 11ft, and says every one is British and mainly grown in the south of England.

Trees are on display under cover in a large marquee, with lights, an open fire and Christmas music, and the farm says to follow the signs from BN1 8YL “until you meet Errol the Emu” at the gate. It also sells tree stands, from a basic steel tripod to plasma-cut designs of its own.

The website still carries dates from earlier seasons beside the Saturday 28 November opening, and its price list is headed 2025, so check the farm’s Facebook page before you set off.

2. Brighton and Hove Christmas Trees, delivery only

A Brighton firm with no shop or yard: you order online and it cuts a locally grown tree to order and brings it to your door. It started in 2008 collecting and recycling the trees it saw dumped on the city’s pavements after Christmas, then began supplying trees too.

It sells Nordmann fir, Norway spruce, blue spruce and Serbian spruce from 80cm pot-grown trees to 14ft. For an extra charge it will cut the base, stand the tree in your stand and trim the lower branches, and it will come back in January to take the tree away for chipping.

It sends a two-hour delivery window the day before. It also delivers free to RH16 in Haywards Heath, and says it is hard to reach by phone, so use the form or email info@brightonandhovechristmastrees.co.uk.

It also sells freshly dug potted trees up to 5ft, small container-grown trees, wreaths, stands, logs and kindling. Staff net the tree and carry it to your car.

Getting rid of the tree in January

  • Council drop-off points: Brighton and Hove City Council runs tree recycling points each January and turns the trees into compost. Last winter there were 23, open from 29 December 2025 to 6 February 2026; the 2026/27 dates have not been announced. Our Christmas bin collections page has the details and will carry the new dates.
  • Garden waste subscribers can leave the tree beside the garden waste bin once collections restart in January.
  • Brighton and Hove Christmas Trees collects trees for recycling, including ones it did not supply, if you contact it.
  • Leaving a tree on the pavement or beside a communal bin is fly-tipping, the council warns, and can bring a fine.

How we chose

These are the sellers near Brighton that publish dates or prices for 2026 on their own websites, found through the farms’ own sites and the tree lists published locally in past years. We read each seller’s site, and its price list where there is one, on 5 November 2026. We left out sellers that only post on Facebook, national online nurseries with no local base, and farms that had published nothing for this season. Prices are the sellers’ own, as published on that date.
