David Bowie: You're Not Alone runs at Brighton Dome Corn Exchange from 16 July to 30 August 2027. Tickets £29.50, one hour, BSL and relaxed shows listed.
David Bowie: You’re Not Alone, the projected show built from the David Bowie Archive, is coming to Brighton Dome Corn Exchange next summer. It runs from Friday 16 July to Monday 30 August 2027, and tickets are listed for booking on Brighton Dome’s event page at £29.50 standard.
VisitBrighton, the city’s tourism service, announced it in its November newsletter on Tuesday, describing the show as “a 360° experience showcasing some of Bowie’s landmark performances, using a mixture of iconic, rarely seen and never-before-exhibited material”. It is a Lightroom production, and Brighton Dome says it was “made in close collaboration with, and authorised by, the David Bowie Estate”.
What the show is
There are no live performers. The show is projected across the walls and floor of the room, with Bowie as the only voice. Brighton Dome describes it like this:
“Using iconic performance footage, rarely heard interviews and never-before-seen material selected from thousands of hours of film in the vaults of the David Bowie Archive in New York, from Space Oddity through Diamond Dogs and “Heroes” to ★, this show is a celebration of Bowie’s boundless curiosity as a force that connected people across continents and generations, as well as his enduring cultural impact today.”

It is arranged in themed chapters that play on a loop, so you can walk in at any point. The organisers list the subjects as “theatricality, spirituality, songwriting, and the transformative power of creativity”, and say the visuals combine “rare performance footage, photography, drawings, lyrics, personal notes and sketches”.
The music has been reworked for the venue’s spatial sound system by the sound designer Gareth Fry, who also worked on the V&A’s David Bowie Is exhibition. The narration is drawn from “hundreds of interviews spanning a five-decade-long career”, the Dome says, so that Bowie can “invite you into his way of thinking like never before”.
The show was designed by the studio 59 and directed by Mark Grimmer and Tom Wexler. Grimmer was creative director for David Bowie Is, according to the Dome’s credits.

BSL and relaxed performances
Some showings have British Sign Language built into the show, along with enhanced subtitles. Brighton Dome lists them as:
- Wednesday 21 July, Sunday 25 July and Thursday 29 July
- Sunday 8 August, Thursday 12 August, Tuesday 17 August, Sunday 22 August and Thursday 26 August
Relaxed performances are on Wednesday 28 July, Wednesday 4 August, Friday 13 August and Thursday 19 August, for showings up to and including 12.30. More is on the Dome’s access page.

What it means for you
If you want a particular day, book early: it is a summer-holiday run of six and a half weeks, and the one-hour show loops rather than playing set concert dates. Families should note the 6pm to 7.30pm slots are 12 and over. If you or someone you are going with needs BSL or a relaxed showing, those dates are fixed and few, so pick those first.
The photographs on this page show the show at Lightroom, not at the Corn Exchange, so the layout in Brighton may look different.

Artist Open Houses Winter from 28 November
The same newsletter carried a nearer date. Brighton’s Artist Open Houses Winter returns for three weekends from Saturday 28 November to Sunday 13 December, open on Saturdays and Sundays only, with opening times varying by house. VisitBrighton says artists and makers “across Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Ditchling and beyond will be throwing open the doors of their houses and studios”, selling work and Christmas gifts directly. Many will also run workshops, craft activities, puppet shows and drawing and making classes. Entry is free.
